Highlighting the Flaws!!

 No More HIDING!!  

  

Being an ardent follower of fashion and makeup trends, while browsing through the latest trendy makeup looks of 2020, I was simply awestruck. I couldn’t withhold myself from writing a blog over it.    

  

The makeup trends for decades have been brewing up over the concept of accentuating flawless features. Makeup artists have been using their magical brush strokes to transform us into that one mold of epitome.   

  

  

But Not Anymore. Period!

The concept of finding perfection in the beauty has gone through a complete overhaul now. Perfection has been replaced now with the word healthy. Instead of applying layers and layers of the base to cover these flaws, there has been a sense of acceptance erupting among women of their naturally gifted features. They are no longer shying away from the freckles on their face Acceptance of flaws will be a huge step towards their empowerment. Adding fuel to this fire of revolution, the Makeup artists are currently no longer concentrating over the perfect brow lines and arches. Instead, they are revolutionizing the stereotypical makeup trend of hiding the flaws to emphasizing natural beauty.

Now hours and hours are spent to portray a perfectly healthy face. Makeup artists are highlighting flaws on their model's face to portray her as the "Woman of 2020", who is assertive about her looks, confident enough to experiment with the minimal base equipped with vibrant colors and themes, glitters, dewy eyebrows or no eyebrows, freckles & frosting irrespective of her skin tone. Imperfection is the new definition of perfection. Standing out of the background rather than complementing it.
